Dear Parents and Carers

I am sure you are all aware of the public health issue from the news regarding Coronavirus or Covid-19. Whilst we have not been presented with any immediate concerns here at Saint Edmund Arrowsmith we would like to share with you the most recent guidance we are operating with in order to reassure you:

 Information from Public Health England who have published their most recent information here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public. In addition there is guidance for anyone who may have travelled from the northern parts of Italy (north of Pisa) after the 19th February 2020.
 Poster outlining the risks and preventative measures from Public Health England

We as a school will monitor the potential symptoms of staff and students and keep you updated via the school website. The risk of contracting the Coronavirus is low and official advice to parents and carers is to send your child/ren to school as normal and encourage them, as we will do, to practice good hygiene ie frequent hand-washing.

If you have any queries or concerns, please refer to the documents above, or contact Mrs Pauline Wilson, School Business Manager.
